Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Dongargarh, located in Rajnandgaon District of Chattisgarh was established in the year 1994. Sprawling around an area of about 14 acres in the vicinity of the temple Town, Dongargarh, lies this Centre of learning. Dongargarh is a major town …in the state of Chhattisgarh, India and the site of the Bambleshwari Temple and Chandragiri Jain Temple, a prominent pilgrim destination in the district.

Initially functioning in the building provided by the SEC Railways, the Vidyalaya was later shifted to the present structure in the year 2005. Since then, it has become a full fledged Centre of learning by providing admissions for children from Class I to XII.

Both, parents and the students, have kept the Vidyalaya in the high esteem for excelling in scholastic achievements and in extra co-curricular activities. About 870 students are on roll presently with 40 staff catering to their needs. The Vidyalaya is well equipped with Science, Mathematics and Computer Laboratories, supported with high speed Internet connectivity and an ICT and CMP room for added activities.
